Introductory Course

It is the aim at Peak Survival for every student to leave feeling empowered with new knowledge about nature. To feel confident in their ability to survive if they were  lost in the woods.  We aim to achieve all this in a fun learning environment.

2010 Calendar: $240 per course

May 14th - 16

July 9th – 11th


The course will focus on the following areas:

· Shelter construction

· Finding and purifying water

· Primitive fire starting methods

· Survival forgaing edible wild plants and fish and game preparation


Included in the price:


·
Food

· 1 Nights accommodation indoors plus 1 night in a shelter you build

· Course Handouts.


Participants must bring suitable warm clothing and a sleeping bag, if you have any question please see the recommended kit list: Click here

This hands on practical course is an excellent choice for anyone taking part in outdoor activities such as


· Trail Running
· Backpacking
· Hiking
· Rock Climbing
· Mountaineering
· Hunting


Or anyone who is spending time in the outdoors who wishes to travel into the wilderness with an added degree of safely

Our Summer wilderness survival courses are:

  • Based on current research in survival techniques
  • Groups sizes are kept small for maximal inclusion
  • You will receive handouts to take home so you don’t need to worry about taking notes
  • Taught by experts with experience in survival
  • All concepts discussed are backed up with demonstrations and hands on experience by you
