Fire starting Methods: Using a battery and steel wool
The basic principle of this technique is short circuiting the battery, the ideal battery is the 9v pp9 battery pictured below:
The battery is ideal as both terminals are at the same end of the battery easily allowing a short circuit with a small amount of steel wool.
Once the terminal are connected by the steel wool it will start to glow blowing on the steel wool at this stage will cause the reaction to glow a brighter orange.
